D.O.T Preview – Duelling with a difference
D.O.T is the game I keep thinking about, and the one I keep wanting to go back and play around with a little more.

It’s a familiar game, for sure, but I think it’s more like a refinement than anything else. It’s like making the most amazing sandwich, then someone saying, “You know what, let’s see what happens when we add fewer flavours of crisps in this”.
Is recreating The Great Escape on your table your dream game? Well, while 1 A.M. Jailbreak may not be the Steve McQueen on a motorbike you expect, it’s still a fantastic, clean, card-shedding game you might want to take a look at.
Sakana Stack is quick, easy, gorgeous to look at, and a lot of fun. It’ll join the likes of Scout and Tokkuri Taking in my convention bag for some time to come.
It’s not Super Long Nose Goblin for the PC Engine, it’s dinosaurs drinking sake in Tokkuri Taking, and it’s a lot of fun.
Feed & Breed is a super cute push-your-luck game about rabbits trying to collect food and avoid foxes, and it’s a lot of fun.
Faraway is one of those games that actually deserves the hype, and deserves its recent As d’Or win.

When Jon from Deathtrap Games got in touch to see if I wanted to take a look at his game – Take The Throne – I jumped at the chance
Sea Salt & Paper is a great game which now happily nestles in my travel back of ‘card games to play anywhere with anyone’ along with the likes of Scout and 6 Nimmt.
